SEC1000: Inconsistent Load and Meter curves on SEMS

SEC1000: Inconsistent Load and Meter curves on SEMS

With the following instructions, you can check the Load and Meter curves on SEMS of your PV System equipped with a SEC1000.

In case of an error installation of the SEC1000, you may observe the load and meter curve inconsistent on SEMS. See the figure 1 and figure 2 as an examples of installation errors.

To monitor and visualize properly the SEC1000, please check and confirm the following points:

  1. Confirm the correct installation of the Current Transformers (CT).

  1. Confirm the correct ratio setup on the SEC1000.

  1. Checking the displayed real time data on Promate as follow:

  • Turn OFF the PV system

  • The energy consumed is supplied by the grid (import)

  • Refresh “Get Data” in Promate

  • RealTime Data” window will be displayed

  • Check the power values shown

  • Power (+): energy-to-grid export à impossible scenario (system OFF)

  • Check the installation (direction) of CTs

  • Power (-): importing power from the grid à correct

  • Check the consistency of the displayed values*

  • Check the “CT ratio” of the installed transformer (observe 2)

  • Check the correlation between the measured phase (voltage) and its CT

  •

Please, carefully check the above points to monitor properly the Load and Meter curves on SEMS. Below, see the figure 3 as an example of the correct curves monitored by a SEC1000.
