RCR – Ripple Controle Receiver

RCR – Ripple Controle Receiver

Grid providers in some Markets (e.g. Germany for PV Systems >25kW or as requirement for state subsidies) require that PV Plants are controllable by them via RCR. Technically this is a small box with 4 Relays triggered by a simple form of PLC signal from the grid operator.

EzLoggerPro and SEC1000 can be used to realize the multi-level throttling of PV power to 0% / 30 % / 60% / 100%.

Note: only works with PV inverters (no Hybrid or Battery inverters)

Workaround for hybrid and battery inverters

The DRM0 interface or the remote switch interface can be “misused” for the same purpose. With their help 0 % / 100% throttle can be realized.

For some DSOs in Germany this is acceptable.

Note: Clarify with DSO before installation if that is acceptable ( 0 % / 100 % instead of 0 %/ 30% / 60% / 100%.
