How to configure EZLoggerPro

How to configure EZLoggerPro

There are 2 options to connect the inverter(s) to EZLoggerPro:

1. Pull separate cables from separate inverter to Ezlogger and connect them to eg com1 and com2

2. Connect inverters wth the 2-wires RS485 cable, and then connect to EZLoggerPro

Then the EZLogger Pro must be connected with the modem. If there is an active internet connection on the modem, there is also a connection to our monitoring. The auto ip assignment must be supported by the modem. Of course there must be a monitoring account to which the inverters are linked. Please note that port 20001 on the modem must be opened by the firewall, as it is required for communication with our monitoring server.

The following 3 LEDS indicate whether there is a connection with our server:

  1. EZLogger Power LED is on
  2. EZLogger 2nd LED blinks
  3. Server LED on EZLogger is on

The com LEDs on the EZLogger are blinking; this means that the EZLogger Pro is in Plug & Play mode, that is: the ip-address is automatically assigned as soon as the EZLogger Pro is connected to the modem.

If the above does not work, dynamic allocation by the modem is not supported.

Then proceed as follows to assign a fixed IP-address to the inverters:

1.      press the Reload button on the EZLogger. The lights will then flash from right to left.

2.

a.      Connect the laptop directly to the Net-port on the EZLogger Pro

b.      In windowns > Open network center

c.      Click on LAN-connection

d.      Click on Properties

e.      Click on IPv4

f.       Change the ip-address of the laptop to 192.168.1.100. The subnetmask is filled out automatically. Then click on OK

3.

a.      assign a fixed ip address to the inverters with the Promate V1.1.0 application, downloadable from our site (downloads >> software, see attachment)

b.      wait till the connection status is ‘Succeed’ and a serial number is present.

c.      Then click on Refresh: In inverter list, the serial number of the inverter will be displayed that are connected with the Ezlogger pro.

d.      Com configuration: tick Com 1,2,3 and enter the number of inverter (s) and then click SET.

e.      At Lan configuration: enter IP, Subnetmask & Gateway and then click on SET.

f.       Disconnect the Lan cable between laptop and ezlogger pro and connect the internet cable from the router to the Net side Ezlogger pro.

4.      now communication with a fixed ip address has been set up
